My name is Neil Donoghue and I've been playing the Sitar since I brought my first one back from Jaipur in 2001. I started lessons shortly after and have been playing shows in Leicester, Birmingham, Solihull, Coventry, Nottingham and elsewhere in the Midlands over the years. With the group Alap (Sitar,Tabla, Acoustic Tampura) we provide ideal Indian/ Hindustani light classical backing music to weddings, parties, functions, yoga/ meditation classes and musical events in the Midlands area. We can also provide Sitar and Tabla demonstrations and workshops at your school, college, or community centre.
